Sherry Westerman joined Plog & Stein, P.C. as a paralegal in September, 2012. Prior to that she worked at a family law firm in Grand Junction, CO, and has over six years of experience as a paralegal practicing solely family law, including divorce, custody, child support, and restraining orders. Sherry enjoys assisting clients through these challenging times with her attention to detail and understanding of the family law process.
Sherry was born and raised on the western slope of Colorado. She attended Colorado Mountain College in Glenwood Springs where she obtained her Associate of Arts degree. She then transferred to the University of Northern Colorado where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology (emphasis in Criminal Justice), with minors in Psychology and Legal Studies.
Sherry worked for more than eight years as a community corrections case manager and also worked as Probation Officer in Colorado Springs. She began working on a Master’s Degree in Public Administration at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, but decided to change her career path and began working as a paralegal. She feels this was the best career move she ever made and is happy to put her skills and experience to good use helping the firm and its clients.
When she is not helping clients and assisting the attorneys, Sherry enjoys reading and card making. She has two spoiled cats, Jules and Sebastian. She and her husband, Eric enjoy traveling, the theater, and attending sporting events.
